QUESTIONS REGARDING FAIR USE & SITE LICENSES
CAN I MAKE COPIES OF THE MAPS FOR CLASSES AND FOR TEACHING?
ANSWER
: Yes, for Bible classes, sermons and other educational purposes only within your home congregation. You must be sure the MANNA copyright is clearly visible on all copies. You may not resell copies of MANNA Bible Maps without prior written permission from MANNA. You may not copy the Bible Maps CD, and you may not send or sell maps to others via the internet or by other means. If you have a question about use, please call or send us an email.

WE HAVE SEVERAL COMPUTERS AT CHURCH. CAN I LOAD BIBLE MAPS ON ALL THE COMPUTERS?
ANSWER
: To load Bible Maps on multiple computers please contact us for a site license. A site license can only be purchased for a specific number of computers permanent to a specific location (hence the word "site"). In other words, if there are three "permanent" computers at a church building a site license for the three computers can be purchased (a site license is typically $44.95 for the 1st computer and $19 for each additional computer at the same location - check with us for current licensing prices). It is illegal to load the program on multiple machines that will be accessed by different users without a site license. If you want to load the program on a laptop and a desktop for your own personal use, or on your personal home and office computer you may do so. Send us an email at xfor more details or information.

HOW CAN I OBTAIN LICENSING RIGHTS TO LOAD THE SOFTWARE ON SEVERAL COMPUTERS IN THE SAME LOCATION?
ANSWER
: Please contact us at info@biblemaps.com. Indicate the number of computers at one location (either a college or church building) on which you would like to load the program. We will return email you with pricing information for multiple computers at one site. PLEASE NOTE: it is illegal to load the program on more than one computer without first obtaining licensing rights.

PROBLEMS UNZIPPING FILES (For those who purchased Bible Maps as a download.)
I DOWNLOADED ZIPPED FILES AND TRIED TO EXTRACT THEM, BUT KEEP GETTING MESSAGES THAT THE FILES STILL NEED TO BE EXTRACTED.
ANSWER #1
: Once you download a zipped file, right click the file and select "Extract" or "Extract All." Extraction of zipped files should take a few minutes. When unzipping is done, open the file folder that has been unzipped. Your program or files should be fine. If you still have problems, see Answer #2 below:
ANSWER #2: We've had a report that the new operating system Vista may not properly unzip zipped files. The easiest solution is to download a copy of the free unzipping application called WinZip. A free copy of WinZip is available by clicking here. WinZip has successfully and easily extracted zipped files.

I GET AN ERROR MESSAGE DURING INSTALLATION.
ANSWER
: If you try to start or install an MS-DOS-based or a 16-bit Windows-based program on your Windows XP-based computer, you may receive an error message that is similar to the following:

16-bit MS-DOS Subsystem path to the program that you are trying to start or install C:\Windows\System32\config.nt The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

You may encounter other similar error messages, but with different file names config.nt and Autoexec.nt. This issue may occur if one or more of the following files are missing or damaged:

Config.nt
Autoexec.nt
Command.com

Restoring the missing files
To restore these files, download the above three files from here. Unzip and copy the missing file(s) to Windows\System32 folder. For more information, see the following Microsoft article. This issue seems to be caused by a Trojan (may be TrojanDownloader.Win32.Dia.a). See this thread for more information.

PRINTING PROBLEMS - How do I print?
ANSWER
: The easiest way to print is to do a Crtl + P when on the map or chart you want to print. You can also access printing by click holding the Main Menu button while on a map or chart. Click holding will pop out several additional buttons, one of which is the print button. For more information look inside the front cover of the jewel case that came with your Bible Maps program.

PRINTING PROBLEMS - Nothing prints, printing errors, print output problems.
ANSWER
: Most printing problems have to do with old print drivers. Go to your printer manufacturer's website and download the lastest driver for your printer (drivers are free).

OTHER PRINTING SOLUTIONS: Try each of the following if the new driver does no solve the problem. One typically resolves printing problems:
1) Be sure that you have Adobe Acrobat Reader 3.0 or above installed on your computer. If you aren't sure do a "find" to see if you have it installed. If it is NOT installed an installer for version 4.0 is included on your Bible Maps CD. Open the CD and double-click the Acrobat Reader icon to perform the installation. You may have to restart computer once the installation is completed.
2) Uninstall ALL versions of Adobe Acrobat Reader from your computer (be sure to find and uninstall all versions as multiple versions can cause printing problems). Then uninstall Bible Maps. Now, install Bible Maps. Next install Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0 (located on the Bible Maps CD).
or
3) Open any file from the PrintFL folder on the CD using Acrobat Reader. Then choose Print from the Acrobat menu. When the Printer Settings screen appears, make sure that the box "Print as image" is checked. The page should then print properly.
or
4) For some printers such as the HP Laserjet 4 or 5 series, go to the printer settings under Start\Settings\Printers and right click on the printer icon and select Properties. Click the Graphics tab and then click "Use raster graphics." Save the settings and then the maps should print properly from the program.

If none of the above work, go to the map you wish to print in the Bible Maps program. Press the F3 key and make a note of the ID number that appears. Then, navigate using Adobe Acroabat Reader to the PrintFl folder on the Bible Maps CD. Find the PDF file in the folder that corresponds to the ID number you recorded. (Note, C1=color and all features, C0=color and no features, B1=black & white and all features, B0=black & white no features). Open the appropriate PDF using Acrobat Reader and see if you can print from the Acrobat Reader program if you cannot, there is a problem with your printer printing PDF files. Ensure you have Adobe Acrobate Reader installed - also, make sure you do NOT have multiple copies of Acrobat Reader installed as this can cause printing problems.

You will not detect any noticeable difference in computer performance.

WHEN I TRY TO PRINT, THE PROGRAM TELLS ME TO INSERT THE CD, BUT IT'S ALREADY INSERTED.
ANSWER
: Confirm that your computer CD is using drive "D." By default, the Bible Maps program looks for the CD in drive "D." If your computer CD is using another drive (E, F, G, etc.) go to Preferences in the Bible Maps program and change the CD preference to coincide with the location of your CD player. Once you've changed the preferences, click the diskette icon to save the preference changes.

I CAN'T MAXIMIZE THE BIBLE MAPS PROGRAM TO FULL SIZE, WHY?
ANSWER
: You can minimize, but you cannot maximize the Bible Maps window. If you want to use a projection system to display maps, you can 1) change your monitor resolution to 640 x 480 so the maps fill your entire screen, or, you can 2) use the "backdrop" option (see your Help files) to render the space around the open Bible Maps window black or some other a neutral color.

THE SCRIPTURE REFERENCE WINDOW WAS WORKING NOW IT DOESN'T COME UP.
ANSWER
: The scripture reference window is likely open but hidden behind the open Bible Maps window, or you have moved it off to the side. It's open and working, it's just that you can't see it. Move or minimize the Bible Maps window to see the scripture reference window and move it where it can be seen.
